The 9164 Series MA insulator allows the coupling of two 4 ... 20 mA signal sources. It is thus possible to connect p. ex. 4-conductor transmitters with I / O cards planned for 2-conductor operation. The use of the device thus saves costs for additional I / O cards or represents the only solution for I / O cards that work only in 2-conductor mode.
