The infra-red double flame detector (IR²) is created to protect places where lights can be declared. It detects all types of flames, including hydrocarbon fires or the Hydrogen invisible lights. The IR² is sensitive to low-frequency infrared radiation that can be emitted during combustion and even if the lens is clogged with a layer of oil, dust, water, steam or ice. It has two infra-red sensors that meet different infra-red waves to differentiate flames and sources of parasitic radiation. False alarms caused by sun rays are avoided through a filter combination and technical signal processing.
