It offers tailor-made solutions tailored to customers' needs and expectations. ICT, solar and building automation solutions are some of the company's specialties. It is aimed at both large enterprises and SMEs and the public authorities. For one of its customers, a public transport company, Swisspro must offer VoIP waterproof telephone sets. These are intended for use in buildings serving as warehouse and maintenance space. The client is looking for a protocol allowing workers to communicate in this type of environment and adapted to its closed business network.

Swisspro needs a robust, reliable and waterproof communication protocol for its customer. Telephones are to be used in a humid and/or dusty environment. They must be able to withstand a difficult environment, but also specific treatments. They will be installed in buildings where bus or tram trainsets are stored, assembled or repaired.
One of the client's requirements for this command is that the protocol be compatible with Qos mode and the LLDP-MED protocol, for the distribution of VLANs to phones.
Our solution
We have chosen for this customer the ATHOS IP version of industrial phones, because it is particularly suitable for difficult environments, both indoor and outdoor.
ATHOS industrial phones are very resistant to weather, impact and other impacts thanks to their spark-resistant composite housing. They can manage any difficult or even extreme environment, which makes them perfect for professional use.
When the telephone is exposed to extreme heat, high humidity, salt water or dust, its magnetically closed protective door closes automatically to avoid damage. This function also protects the apparatus from exposure to gases or particles that may cause an explosion or chemical reaction. The phone is equipped with an optical LED alarm and a silica gel keyboard, with quick dial keys. It also allows you to phone in hands-free mode.
We offer this phone model in analog, VoIP and GSM versions. It is SIP compatible and works on Power Over Ethernet (PoE) or external power supply. This option facilitates data transmission and reduces the cost of purchasing and installing cables. It allows you to connect the telephone even in places where the power supply is impractical or not accessible.
The ATHOS industrial telephone has a network interface RJ-45 and an Ethernet support 10/100Mp. It can be updated and kept remotely, and its condition can be checked using a remote server. This phone is very reliable and versatile: it can be used for voice and emergency communications.
One of the main assets of this phone series is its latest generation VoIP card. It is adapted to the Qos mode, which ensures network security and especially bandwidth saving. Data transmissions are processed and the most important traffic will be preferred.
