Operating across the 156–163 MHz Marine VHF frequency range, it supports international marine channels, with different channel configurations available depending on the operating region. ATIS functionality is also available for applicable operations.
Its high-visibility OLED display provides clear access to information, while its ergonomic controls allow straightforward operation when wearing gloves.
The DT944 features IP68 protection and can withstand immersion to a depth of 2 metres for up to 4 hours. Its chassis also incorporates salt-water anti-corrosion protection for demanding marine conditions.
